This paper speculates that in the near future cell phones will become the predominant way of using the Internet. Interestingly, Keshav predicts that this will lead to deployment of a lot of advanced networking technology that we have been waiting for, like IPv6 and quality of service guarantees. While I disagree with some of the details, I agree with the overall idea, and I think his conclusions are somewhat surprising, yet still plausible.
