Andrew Skurka is on a hike across North America. He is starting from the Atlantic coast, in Gaspé, Québec, and finishing at the Pacific ocean, in Olympic National Park in Washington state. Talk about an incredible journey! He will cover 12 392 km in one year. His pictures from the beginning of his trip are pretty spectacular. Reading through the site has inspired me. I have talked about wanting to cycle around British Columbia for a while now, and I think I should start gearing up to actually go and do it. I need to start training and learning more about bikes, particularly tuning and repairing them.
